Hoe Valley School follows the national curriculum and delivers a broad and balanced programme designed to meet the needs of all students. It promotes students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development and prepares them for the opportunities, experiences and responsibilities of later life. Students participate in a vibrant programme of learning that includes the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, History, Geography, Drama, Religious Education, Modern Foreign Language, Art, Music, Design Technology and Physical Education.
Students learn GCSE skills from day one, working through a meticulously mapped five year programme for each subject. By the end of year 8, students choose their options for GCSEs through high quality, data rich conversations with their families and the School. Through forensic use of data, we will ensure all students are encouraged to follow a personalised pathway which enables them to succeed both academically and in terms of preparing them to successfully take up their next steps.
