  • Teacher of Design & Technology

    The Role

    We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous practitioner to join our dedicated Design Technology team as we continue on our exciting journey with our new Sixth Form provision.

    The successful candidate will have the exciting and unique opportunity to work with a KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum that is bespoke, challenging and fit for the needs of 21st Century life.

    We are excited to offer this role with the option of part-time hours. If you have a specialism in Food Science and Textiles, this could be an ideal opportunity for you. However, we also welcome candidates with experience in all areas of Design and Technology.

    As a department, we are offering four KS5 courses:

    • Product Design A-Level (AQA)
    • Design Engineering A-Level (OCR)
    • Fashion and Textiles (AQA)
    • Food Science and Nutrition (WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma)

    There has been significant investment in the new Sixth Form; the Design Technology Department now has brand-new metalwork and electronics facilities, as well as a new textiles classroom to support the growth of the department and complement the existing suite of Design and Technology facilities.

    We are looking for an inspirational teacher with a proven track record of leading students to achieve outstanding results, who embraces creativity, innovation and is always looking for the very best practice in teaching. They will share the School's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels.

    Salary

    £40k - £45k

  • PREMISES ASSISTANT

    The Role

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and reliable candidate to join our Premises team. Tasked with ensuring the School building and its facilities are maintained to the highest standard, you will ensure that the environment is safe, secure and operational for students, staff, community users and visitors - at all times.

    As a Premises Assistant, you will be a hands-on, can-do person with a calm sense of efficiency and organisation, together with the ability to solve problems. In ensuring the School is a clean, attractive and secure place to be, you will prioritise the educational, safety and welfare needs of our students. You will share the School's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels and recognise the critical role that the fabric of the School plays in facilitating this.

    You will ideally have experience of premises or facilities work, be aware of maintenance programmes and H&S compliance, and always carry out your work to a consistently high standard. The role is physically demanding, requiring th ability to move furniture and equipment as well as doing external grounds work.

    A full driving license and a willingness to drive minibuses and complete basic vehicle checks would be advantageous.

    The role is full-time, although part-time working would be considered, 52 weeks a year. The working week is 40 hours, excluding a 30-minute lunch break. There will be a requirement to work occasional evenings to set up/clear up school events. The School would welcome applications from candidates that live within a short distance of the School.

    Salary & Hours

    £25k - £30k per annum depending on experience

    Full-time and Permanent position (part-time would be considered)

    40 hours per week, across 5 days, 52 weeks a year

    Entitlement to 25 days holiday per annum to be taken in the school holidays

    Starting in July

  • TEACHING ASSISTANT

    Your Opportunity

    Are you interested in working with children and young people to help them achieve their true potential? We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in supporting the School on its journey to becoming an established outstanding community school.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will be part of the Personalisation Team, led by the SENCO, who will share and learn from one another as the School continues to grow. They will lead on a specific area of SEND provision (such as small group tutoring) and develop an area of expertise to meet the needs of our cohort and reflect the individual's skill-set. Experience working with students with ASD would be desirable but not essential.

    Our new Teaching Assistant will contribute to improving standards in English, Maths and Science. They will work with students with an EHCP on a 1:1 level and within small intervention groups. They will share the School's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels. There is an opportunity to be involved in setting up and managing EAL provision for the nex academic year under the guidance of SENCO.

    The role is 40 hours per week, term time only. Working pattern 8am to 4:30pm to include a half hour unpaid lunch.

    Salary

    £21k - £24k dependent on experience.

  • HEAD OF COMPUTER SCIENCE

    The Role

    We are looking for a passionate, talented and organised Head of Computer Science to join our school to lead in the development and delivery of Computing curriculum from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. As a relatively new school we pride ourselves on our streamlined, innovative approach to ICT with all students having access to their own devices. Regular CPD specifically on new software and applications to enhance learning and systems designed to reduce paperwork and administration. We are a Google school and this is an area that we want to push, as our students and staff are keen to learn more. The successful candidate will have the exciting and unique opportunity to help shape the GCSE and A Level curriculum which is bespoke, challenging and fit for the student entering an ever changing digitally enhanced world.
