We are always looking for passionate and innovative individuals who are excited about building a new 21st century school for our local community. This is a unique opportunity to join our school and be a part of designing a new curriculum and building a team as the school expands.

Our staff feedback shows we have a team who feel trusted, listened to and who have a healthy work life balance. The excellent behaviour of our students and our resistance to any unnecessary paperwork means staff can really focus on teaching and learning. All of our team have a bespoke CPD programme in place and have a buddy in a partner secondary school with whom they share best practice, plan collaboratively and standardise assessments. Our staff are offered a cycle to work scheme, reduced gym membership at our neighbouring sports facilities and have access to convenient free parking. We also have additional holiday at the end of the Autumn and Summer terms to recognise and reward the commitment of our staff.

If you are interested in applying for any of our current vacancies advertised below, please complete the relevant application form and return it to:

Mr Oliver Hamshar

Deputy Head Teacher

Mr Hamshar joined HVS from Salesian School in Chertsey, where he was previously an Assistant Headteacher for 5 years. He led on the Digital Strategy of the school, as well as key areas including Attendance & Punctuality, Assessment and Reporting, IT systems and Behaviour and Atandards.

Mr Hamshar is responsible for the quality of the education at HVS and will oversee the intent, implementation and impact of all areas of the curriculum, as well as leading on attainment and progress. As the school’s lead for Pupil Premium Strategy, he will also work closely with our Head of Personalisation to ensure all students are able to make exceptional progress.

Mr Hamshar obtained his BA in Media and Film, before deciding to move into Education when he obtained his PGCE in Computing from the University of Southampton. Mr Hamshar is very keen on ‘all things’ technical and digital, from Computer Programming to Graphic Design. He believes strong literacy and numeracy skills give students the ability to develop better procedural and declarative knowledge in other subjects that will better prepare them for tomorrow’s world.
