Ms Laura Phillips, Head of Personalisation (currently on Maternity Leave)
Laura Phillips leads on personalising the curriculum for all our students and will be the School’s SENCO. This role involves ensuring our highest attainers are challenged and that all students can access the curriculum and fulfil their potential. Laura joins Hoe Valley from Kings International School where she was responsible for year 6 to 7 transition and was the Head of House. She has also been a Deputy Head of English at Kings School and has taught English, Drama and Humanities.
Ms Hannah Gill, Pastoral Lead Teacher (currently Acting Head of Personalisation/SENCO)
Hannah joined us from Christ’s College Guildford where she was Director of Science. Her specialist subject is Chemistry. Before this, she taught at St John the Baptist (SJB) School here in Woking and was an active member of the staff choir. Prior to working at SJB, she was the leader of both Science and Mathematics at The Abbey School in Farnham (for students with moderate learning difficulties and Autism) and started her teaching career at Tomlinscote School & Sixth Form College in Camberley.
Mr Luke Collins, Senior Teaching Assistant
Luke graduated with a degree in Criminology from the University of the West of England. In his free time he has mentored children at Bristol Rovers Football Club, acting as a role model and coach. His passion is to bring out the best in children and help build their knowledge and confidence in literary and numeracy, giving them the skills to access all areas of the curriculum. Luke is also run the house system at HVS.
Ms Daniela Frangiamore, Senior Teaching Assistant
Daniela graduated with a first degree in Fashion Journalism and has an outstanding academic record from Sir John the Baptist School in Woking (SJB). She is passionate about the importance of literacy and numeracy in improving the life chances of young people. Daniela leads on Emotional and Social Literacy at the School.
Ms Donna Allibone, Teaching Assistant
Donna joins us as an experienced TA from Christ’s College Guildford where she has worked for 4 years across the curriculum. She has a wealth of experience in working with students with Special Educational Needs.
Ms Ellis Burns, Teaching Assistant
Ellis joins us from her supervisor role in Guildford. Her distinction level in BTEC Sport enables her to deliver sporting enrichment and mentor students both in a 1:1 and small group setting. Ellis works closely with many of our pupil premium students.
Ms Fabrizia Pavan, Teaching Assistant
Fabrizia joins Hoe Valley with a BA (Hons) degree in song writing. Fabrizia has worked at Salesian’s School, Chertsey, where she assisted with Music and Maths lessons.
Ms Philippa Sutton, Teaching Assistant
Philippa joins us from St Dominics’s School, Godalming, where she was a Learning Mentor. Graduating from Aston University with a degree in Psychology, she excels in providing one to one support, specifically with children with special needs. Passionate in her role, Philippa has experience of working with all ages, and thoroughly enjoys helping them develop enthusiasm for learning and realise their potential.
