Hoe Valley School Signs Funding Agreement with DfE

Posted on 02/03/2015 by Tracy Wright

We are delighted to announce that our funding agreement with the Department for Education has been signed. The funding agreement marks another huge step for us. This is the single most important milestone we have achieved; all previous approvals have allowed us to move to the next step in the process – this is our actual approval to open as a school.

This week we have sent out offers of places at Hoe Valley School to our successful applicants. With our funding agreement in place, parents will be able to accept our offer with assurance that the school will open as planned in September. For those applicants receiving offers, it now means that you must accept an offer at Hoe Valley OR your offer from Surrey by 16th March. Instructions on how to accept your offer from Hoe Valley are provided in the offer letters.

It is worth noting that prior to signing the agreement, the DfE has scrutinsed our detailed plans for all aspects of the school – including the educational provision, governance and the school premises. We’re delighted that having had positive feedback, all of these plans have been approved.

The signing of our funding agreement signifies that the DfE is fully satisfied with the progress and plans in place for our sites – both for the opening site as well as the planned permanent site. We will be able to share our permanent location and site plans with you in the next few days. We would  like to reassure you that whilst the actual announcement is a little later than we had hoped, we are on schedule to be able to complete the build of our permanent site during the summer of 2017 as planned.
