Governors, staff and students at HVS celebrated 100 days since the school opened today with a special assembly reflecting on their exciting learning journey so far.
They were then invited to participate in the giveit100.com challenge where individuals pledge to practice something each day for 100 days to perfect it. To give a few examples, students chose to learn how to play the cello, to perfect their basketball technique and to use a new word every day whilst staff pledged to join a local amateur dramatics society and learn their part each day and to learn to speak Spanish!
This afternoon students then joined a carousel around a range of workshops to help launch their 100 day learning journey. They will post their stories and photos on Google Classrooms to share the progress they are making.
Finally, Merel, David and Lauren were awarded a prize from the Head Teacher to celebrate the academic progress they have made in the last 100 days.
