First Round Success for Bexi

Posted on 11/04/2016 by Tracy Wright

Congratulations to Bexi for getting through to the next round of 500 WORDS!

BBC Radio 2 received over 123,400 entries and Bexi’s story, ‘Don’t you Dare’ has been selected – as one of just 4,500 – to go through to the second round of judging.

500 WORDS is one of the most successful story-writing competitions for kids in the world.  It was launched six years ago by Chris Evans who wanted to get children excited about reading and writing.   Since then Nearly half a million pupils have written and submitted a story.

We wish Bexi the best of luck in the second round.  Her story will now read by trained professionals at the Reading Agency, whose job it will be shortlist just 50 stories for the finals.
