HG Wells Short Story Competition Winners Announced!

Posted on 13/09/2016 by Tracy Wright

In July, author Stewart Ross visited some of our then Year 7 students to support and encourage them in exercising their creative writing skills. The result was an abundance of inventive short science fiction stories inspired by HG Wells’ array of alien themed books and essays, all of which were entered into the Wells in Woking Short Story Competition. It is with pleasure that we announce the winner was a student from HVS.  HVS students also claimed 2nd and 3rd spot respectively and as shortlisted pieces, all three have the opportunity to see their work published online.

The girls will also now attend the unveiling of the new HG Wells sculpture in Woking as part of their prize.
