Year 8 Netball – Match Report

Posted on 17/10/2016 by Tracy Wright

Final Score:  11-5 (L)

Team: Eunice, Niamh, Charis, Tamzin, Victoria, Willow, Hannah & Charlene

Opponent:  Heathside

From the first whistle it was an even match with both teams attacking well.  Both defences holding strong for much of the first quarter, it ended 2-1 to Heathside.  In the second quarter there some speedy attacks with Charis winning the ball, offloading to Tamzin who would swiftly move the ball on to Victoria and then find Willow in the attacking third.  The girls kept persisting and the score remained close at the end of the second quarter.  Passing was improved and movement was far better, however a couple of lapses of concentration let Heathside move a few points ahead.  The girls kept battling and still manage to score.
