Year 7 Football – Match Report – 3.11.16

Posted on 04/11/2016 by Tracy Wright

Final Score:  5-1 (L)

Team:  Nick, Harry, Lance, Joshua, Leon, Isaac, Yusuf, Max, Jay, Aidan & Jack

Opponent:  Woking High (B)

HVS started the game very strong putting up a fantastic defensive display and were unlucky to go behind just before half-time. As the team grew in confidence the boys started to create some chances and were unlucky not to draw even. An unfortunate break of the ball meant we were quickly 3-0 down. The boys continued to work hard and create chances, eventually Nick was able to convert one of these, with a fantastic finish to lob the goal keeper and make it 3-1. They continued to create chances and push for the equaliser but Woking High were clinical on the counter-attack scoring 2 more. The game ended 5-1, a vast improvement on the previous fixture.   Well done boys!
