HVS Productions were proud to present A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare on Tuesday 6th June. Here is what our students had to say:
A 4-star performance
The show was a well planned, rehearsed and pleasurable performance, although may have begun with a few bumps, it played out to be an enjoyable and phenomenal show which the audience clearly adored. This was due to the moments of comedy.
A particularly memorable part of the performance was the last scene when Bottom, as Pyramus, pretended to die. Nimi, who played Bottom had excellent timing. He died, waited a few seconds and spoke, he continued doing this expanding the time interval between each line whilst “dead”. This grabbed the audience’s attention and brought the end to life.
The performance was amazing with credit to the year 7 & year 8 cast, Ms Langford and Ms Taylor-Wareham who all worked tirelessly to make the performance a memorable one.
Thank you also to Woking College for allowing us the use of their venue.
