Sight for Surrey

Posted on 06/11/2017 by Tracy Wright

HVS are delighted to again be supporting Sight for Surrey.  They have been chosen as the School’s nominated charity for 2017/18. See below more information about the assembly from one of our school reporters.

The assembly was run by Mr Poole and a guest.  The guest’s name was Callum.  His assembly was about Sight for Surrey.  He is a blind man and showed us his cane.  A cane is a white stick which folds up.  He uses it to find he way around.

The purpose of the assembly was to tell the school about the charity and encourage the pupils to support them.  I am sure most of the students will happily be raising money for this charity.  For example the School will be running an International Sunglasses Day in June.
