Hoe Valley football team disappointingly lost to strong Winston Churchill team on Monday night. The boys never gave up and kept of playing to the last whistle. Despite the defeat, a number of players had some quality individual performances on the night. Ethan showed some outstanding bravery in goal with Joshua also providing some fantastic last ditch tackles. Both Alfie’s were instrumental in energizing the team throughout the game and linked well with Stewart to gain some opportunities in the second half.
Captain Cory stated that “Winston’s previous results showed that it was going to be a tough game and I’m proud of the team for not giving up”.
He went on to say that the team are now focused on next weeks fixture against Fulbrook.
Thanks again to parents and guardians that came to support the boys.
