HVS vs Woking High
Year 7 football

The boys played fantastically well in their fixture against Woking High but unfortunately lost in what was a very close encounter. The game finished 4-3 in Woking High’s favour, but the boys certainly put in a performance to be proud of. A slight lapse in concentration at the end of the first half meant that HVS went into the break 3-0 down but after a few tweaks in the game plan, the boys came back strong to level the scores. Two goals from Charlie and one from Captain Alfie tied up the game going into the last 10 minutes. The game heated up in the later stages with both teams having chances to win the game. Unfortunately, the HVS attacking players were caught off-side in their final attack of the game which disallowed them their 4th goal before Woking High penetrated the defence to score their winning goal.

A fantastic game of football played with outstanding spirit. My thanks go to parents/guardians that supported the boys and assisted in the officiating of the game.
