This week a number of year 7 students are on a trip to Northern France. Both students and teachers are incredibly excited for the experiences and activities the trip holds including visiting a snail farm to try the local French delicacy, a bakery to see how the French “pain” is made and local historical sites whilst improving their command of the French language.
Day 1:
After a short delay at the Eurotunnel terminal the students and staff arrived at their destination. Due to the delay the trip to the bakery was postponed but they did take part in some cheese tasting and crepe making.
Day 2:
Today the students visited a chocolate factory. From there they visited a snail farm where they found out all about the process of looking after the snails and finished off with a tasting session!
Day 4:
Students visited a market in the town of Le Touquet and then headed on to a traditional French Bakery. The evening was spent at the Chateau enjoying games and activities.
