Permanent Site

The trust is very happy with the progress that has been made on the permanent site. We are working closely with Woking Borough Council, the Education Funding Agency and the DfE to finalise the layout of the site. We are hoping to announce details shortly.

As a Trust, setting up a new school, there are strict rules and guidelines set out by the Department for Education and the Education Funding Agency, that we must follow.  In respect of site, we are not allowed to secure a temporary site until such time as the Education Funding Agency is confident that they have made sufficient progress on a viable permanent site.  This is to prevent students and parents from finding themselves in temporary accommodation for an extended period of time.

We have been working closely with the Education Funding Agency and Woking Borough Council on our permanent site for quite some time.  Our building design and site layout are making good progress and the plans show the permanent site being available for occupation in the summer of 2017 ready for the start of the school year that September. As with any development, there will be planning implications, where support from our parents and community members will be appreciated, and will help ensure the successful outcome. Potential delays in the planning process have already been worked into our timeline.

We have not wanted to make a formal announcement about our site and our plans until we had sufficient detail to give you the information we know you all want. We will be in a position to share this information with you during the week commencing 9th March, in order for parents to be able to make a fully informed decision to send their child to Hoe Valley School, should they receive an offer from us on National Offer Day.

Parents and children with an offer of a place will receive an invitation to a private information event within their letter, and a personal contact who will be available to them to discuss any aspect of the school’s plans and status.  Any parent who has not applied but is now considering Hoe Valley as an option for their Yr6 child and would like to apply to our waiting list, is invited to attend our Open Evening on Tuesday 10th March at Woking Park.
