  • TEACHER OF MEDIA STUDIES

    The Role

    We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous Media Studies teacher to join our dedicated faculty in helping the School on its journey to becoming an established and outstanding community School. The successful candidate will have the exciting and unique opportunity to shape a KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum which is bespoke, challenging and fit for the needs of 21st century life.  They will be able to contribute to discussions around required equipment to resource the department and have a significant say in the course design and syllabus choices.
    We are looking for an inspirational teacher who embraces creativity, innovation and is always looking for the very best practice in teaching. They will share the School's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels.


    This position would be suitable for a talented trainee teacher or ECT.

    £30k - £45k

  • CLERK TO THE BOARD OF GOVERNORS

    The Role

    We are seeking an organised and highly motivated individual to join our school community as the Clerk to the Board of Governors. This crucial role provides administrative support to the Board, ensuring smooth and effective governance within the school. The successful candidate will play an essential part in the preparation, coordination, and documentation of meetings, as well as providing guidance on legal and procedural matters to the Board of Governors.

    The Clerk to the Board of Governors will work with the Chair of Governors, the Head Teacher and other governors to ensure the smooth and effective running of the business of the Board of Governors, including:

    • Providing advice on governance, legal, constitutional and procedural matters
    • Proactively supporting the governing body and its committees in the conduct of their duties (e.g., organising meetings and producing / circulating / storing necessary documentation) 
    • Managing information effectively in accordance with legal requirements
    • Ensuring the governing body is properly constituted 
    • Keep up to date in terms of current legislation and practice via training to enable the above

    Salary

    Salary and hours are negotiable.

  • TEACHER OF DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY

    The Role

    We are looking for a passionate, talented and rigorous practitioner to join our dedicated Design Technology team as we continue on our exciting journey with our new Sixth Form provision.


    The successful candidate will have the exciting and unique opportunity to work with a KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum that is bespoke, challenging and fit for the needs of 21st Century life.


    We are excited to offer this role with the option of part time hours for the right candidate. If you have a specialism in Food Science and Textiles this could be an ideal opportunity for you, however we also welcome candidates with experience in all areas of Design and Technology.


    As a department, we are offering four Key Stage 5 courses: 

    • Product Design A-Level AQA 
    • Design Engineering A-Level OCR 
    • Fashion and Textiles A-Level AQA 
    • Food Science and Nutrition WJEC Level 3 Applied Diploma


    There has been significant investment in the new Sixth form; the Design Technology Department now has brand new metalwork and electronics facilities, as well as a new textiles classroom to support the growth of the department and complement the existing suite of Design and Technology facilities.

  • FIRST AID LEAD AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

    The Role

    We are looking to appoint a First Aid Lead & Administration Officer to lead the delivery of first aid across our School, working as an integral part of the administration and operations teams. They will be responsible for managing the first aid for students, staff and visitors as well as providing administrative support to the administration and operations teams.

    We are excited to offer this role with the option for a job share arrangement. The role is term time plus 1 week, working 40 hours per week, 8am - 4:30pm which can be shared, giving the flexibility to balance professional and personal life.

    Salary

    £20k - £34k dependent on experience

They will share the School's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels.

    All students will take English Literature and English Language at GCSE and all students in years 7-11 have five hours of English a week. We currently offer both English Literature, and Combined English Literature and Language A-levels.
