COMMUNICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

The Communications Administrator plays a vital role in promoting the School's vision, values, and achievements through effective communication and engagement. This position is responsible for internal communications to students, staff and parents via social media posts, internal digital content and our bi-weekly newsletter as well as supporting school office administration.

The successful candidate will be confident in the creation and posting of social media content, and a willingness to learn the administration of the School website and internal digital boards. They will be creative, possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, and be able to work quickly and efficiently to tight deadlines.

The position is term time, requiring 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The specific working pattern will be discussed.

 

Salary:

£12,750 actual (£29,810 FTE)

Core Responsibilities

  • To produce the bi-weekly School Newsletter, chasing editorial content from faculties, collating photos ready for Head Teacher's approval
  • To take action photos of lessons and events for sharing on social media platforms
  • To create social media posts on Instagram and Facebook 3 - 4 times per week, ensuring content is up to date, relevant and appropriate
  • To take responsibility for the school website, ensuring photos and information is current and accurate and fulfils all statuatory requirements, as outlined bt the Department for Education's guidelines
  • To ensure the TrilbyTV digital boards around the School are up to date, well written and fit for purpose
  • To support with general school office administration and event planning including creating posters and resources for internal display
  • To assist the catering team with menus, signs and promotional material when asked to do so
  • To cover reception as required

 


 

Essential Desirable Assessment Criteria
Qualifications & Competencies
Minimum GCSE (Grade C or higher) or equivalent (NVQ Level 2) in English and Mathematics Experience of using Google Suite / Microsoft applications in a work environment Application form & interview
ICT literate with experience with Social Media platforms Familiarity with producing & adhering to social media posting schedules. Experience of using Canva for creating digital posters and flyers Application form & interview
Experience
Evidence of successful sustained employment in a comparable working environment in administration support

Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information.
